Portable Resistance Bands for Exercise during Travel

Resistance bands are a great way to exercise when you travel, as they are light and portable, and easy to pack in a suitcase, backpack, or any kind of luggage. This workout system can exercise all major muscle groups, which is quite versatile for such a simple piece of workout equipment. These are composed of high-grade, durable plastic for the loop handles, and industrial-strength materials for the stretch bands.  Thus, these exercise bands can take the large amounts of stress and force an individual subjects it to during a workout.

Resistance bands, contrary to what some exercise enthusiasts may believe, can give a person an extensive workout spanning many of the major muscles that some gym equipment cannot reach. For example, a bench press can only work out the chest, laterals, and shoulders, at most, while these fitness bands can also work out the obliques, triceps, and forearms if you are lying down on a bench.

You can, as stated earlier, do quite a number of exercises with resistance bands. It can even take the place of your home gym, especially if you do not have the space for bulky equipment. This system can effectively take the place of a chest and shoulder press, lateral machine, leg curl and leg extension machine, and much more. To exercise your biceps, for example, assume a standing position, and slip one foot into one loop at one end of the band. Grip the other end with a closed fist, and move your arm as you would with a dumbbell.
